AMPL’s Academic–Industry Advisory Council brings together volunteers from academia, industry, and the optimization community to share feedback, identify emerging needs, and help strengthen the connection between optimization research, education, and real-world application.
The council meets periodically throughout the year to provide input on AMPL’s products, services, educational initiatives, and community programs.
Its role is advisory. Members share perspectives from their own work in teaching, research, consulting, software, and applied optimization to help AMPL better understand how optimization is being used — and where better tools, resources, and support are needed.
Council discussions include:
Colorado School of Mines | Professor, Mechanical Engineering | Director, Operations Research with Engineering Program
National Technical University of Athens – School of Electrical and Computer Engineering | Associate Professor
AMPL welcomes input from educators, researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders who are interested in the future of optimization.
